Hi, I’m Valeria Pineda. And this is the story behind Machē Beauty.

As a little girl, I always had huge hair. Too long, too wild, too different. For a long time, I believed my hair was something I had to hide or control… until I realized it wasn’t “too much.” It was mine. It was part of my identity, my strength, my story.

Years later, in 2021, I launched Machē with a very clear dream: that no woman should have to go through that process alone. That we could learn to love who we are, from the root—literally.

Machē was born as a haircare brand. But what truly lies at the heart of Machē… is a woman.

A woman who feels. Who changes. Who transforms. Who is learning to support herself through all her seasons.

I understood this deeply in 2022 when I became a mother. It was a beautiful chapter… but also one of the hardest of my life. My emotions were out of control, my energy was limited, my identity was shifting.

And there, in the middle of the chaos, something held me together. Simplicity. Intention. Small, consistent rituals.

Machē held me. Its softness. Its simplicity. Its quiet love. It helped me not fall apart. It helped me look in the mirror and recognize myself, even when everything inside me was moving.

And in a way I can only describe as divine grace, I understood that I wasn’t alone. That in every fall, there was a hand holding me, and in every silence, a gentle voice reminding me that even the smallest things can have purpose. That beauty can also be a prayer: an act of love, gratitude, and faith.

That is why Machē still exists today. Because it is not just haircare. It is a reminder that we can return to ourselves, again and again. Without pretending. Without forcing. Without complicating things.
